Hi! Welcome to my personal website. I am a geoscientist from the Netherlands who specialises in sedimentary geology, stratigraphy and geochemistry. I have a PhD degree in Earth Sciences from Utrecht University, in which I studied the interactions between changes in global carbon cycling and climate change in Earth’s past. I currently work as a geochemist at Shell in Amsterdam, where I use molecules to contribute to energy solutions and drive business decisions. In addition, I am the founder and owner of The Biogeologist, a website with information on a wide range of subjects related to the natural environment.
